Charlie's Weekend 13'

It's amazing what a weekend at the beach will do for your soul, let alone a weekend at the beach surrounded by a great group of friends. Not only were Naaman and I surrounded by a great group of people we were there to remember our dear ol' friend Charlie. Meeting Naaman in college was a blessing in it's self but meeting Naaman also meant becoming friends with his friends. Luckily his friends are some of the best guys I know, and we are so lucky to still have a strong friendship with them .

Charlie leaving us was is such a hard thing to deal with and understand, but the one good thing that came from this horrible accident is the boys have built an even stronger friendship. Naaman and I always say 'we owe it to Charlie to make memories with this group of friends because we still have the ability to do so!' Thats where 'Charlie's Weekend' comes into play. What a great way to create memories, giggle about old ones, start a great tradition that our kids will enjoy, and simply hang out with people who make you happy.

It was such a great weekend in so many ways! I can't even count the different ways we thought or talked about Charlie while we stayed at a house called Charlie's Place and how many new memories we made this weekend.

As I was kneeling down on one knee to take a beer bong I so wished Charlie would have been there! He was the only boy I could beat at beer bonging and I loved rubbing that in his face:)  You could always find us in the kitchen together 'practicing' while no one was there!

Buying way to many lottery tickets

Acting like we were back in college playing kings cup and going turn for turn with the beer bong

Writing Charlie's Weekend 13' in the sand

Watching everyone play poker like they did for hours on end in college

Going to the Casino knowing that Charlie would have been there the whole trip

Cuddling and snuggling with Nolan Charlie

Stealing way too many belly rubs from Carlie

Realizing how much we have all grown up since college

Simply being grateful

So year one of Charlie's Weekend are in the books and next year is already being talked about!

My obsession with Glam Bag

Bye-Bye Birchbox, Hello Glam Bag! Yep its true, I wised up and said good bye to my monthly Birchbox and welcomed Ipsy Glam Bag into my life... and I couldn't be more happy with my decision. Glam Bag in my opinion is a million times better and has better products. The Glam Bag offers normal/travel size products instead of sample sizes. Most importantly you get a new makeup bag every month, instead of just a box (you can a.l.w.a.y.s use another bag!)

This month I received
EM Michelle Phan black mascara
Instantly feel in love. I had a sample size of this from Birchbox so I am so excited to now have a full size! It never makes my lashes clump together and the angled applicator.

Pixi bronzer
This was perfect because I just ran out of bronzer last week. I've only used this once so I am not positive if I would buy it. I only used a small amount the first time, so I am eager to keep using it.

Be A Bomb Shell lip crayon in Shamless
This wasn't my top choice for color since I am not much of a red/bold lipstick wearer, but I do like the lip crayon itself. It go's on very well, but I did notice it didn't stay on all day (but honestly, what lipstick does) and with a color that is out of my comfort zone I'm okay with it not lasting all day!

Mailtini nail lacquer in Champagne
I haven't had the chance to use this nail lacquer yet because I just got a Mani-Pedi. The reviews look good, so I am excited to try it out. You can wear them alone or you can layer different colors to create your own personal look!

BHcosmetics Galaxy Chic baked eyeshadow
I received neptune which is a dark shimmery blue color which isn't what I normally wear, but I switched it up and added a little hint of neptune to my eyes today and was surprised. I actually didn't mind the color, and it added a nice hint of color. I really like the packaging because it comes with a magnetic lid and the 'sample' size is honestly the size of a regular eyeshadow!

Starlooks eye pencil in topaz
I have yet to use it as eye liner but used it as an eyeshadow base and loved it. It is a silver metallic color and goes on so smoothly and even if it does smear it turns into a nice shimmer, not the usual eyeliner smudge! I actually placed a little line on my cheek bone and 'rubbed it off' only leaving a nice glitter:)

Needless to say I am head over heels for the Glam Bag and can't imagine not receiving one every month. If you want to jump on the Glam Bag wagon let me know and I'll send you the link to sign up for your very own bag!
