Bella's first trip to the movie theater 7/29/12

I was lucky enough to experience Bella's first movie at the Hood River Cinemas...and boy was it a sight to see! She loved it, and why wouldn't she? She got to load a bag full of candy, and even scoop it herself!

She did such a good great job! You never know if they'll sit through the whole movie, or get scared or what-not. But she rocked it, and was literally on the edge of her seat the whole time. There were parts that got really loud and kind of scary, but it didn't even phase her! She was eating candy, sticking her little hands in the popcorn bag, and stealing sips of pop without even taking her eyes of the screen.

Another wonderful weekend in the books!

Friday we attended the Hood River County Fair Auction, well I attended and Naaman was a spotter...And a mighty cute one I must say! We had a great time at the fair and can't wait till next year!

Saturday Anna and I were wedding coordinators for a wedding at the Balch Hotel. It's funny, you think that it would be so fun and excited to coordinator a wedding, but I'm here to tell you it's hard work!!! Especially if they have 101 different decorations.

The wedding this weekend turned out great but made me realize I do not want a lot of nick-nacks, decorations, clutter or anything of that sort! Flowers, lights, flowers, maybe a couple more flowers, fabric and flowers is enough for me!!! It was crazy, this bride must has gone to 20 different wedding blogs and picked one decorating idea from each an used them! But glad she did, because it made me realize I don't want that!

But along with the bad comes the good! She had a great idea of having a mad libs on the backside of her menus! I can only imagine what our friends and family would come up with. Also I fell in love head-over-heels in love with the paper straws she had..and I found some in our colors!

Sunday MB and I headed to Portland and she met with a Bride in the morning, while I took a cat nap in the truck! Then it was off for some shopping....ah, correction, it was more like browsing! Surprisingly we didn't really buy much of anything but we did find a lot of things we loved.

We went to Home Goods and Marshalls and found some super cute chairs that would look great in the lounge I want to do for our wedding. But we were on our way to Target to pick up these chairs

But when we got to target and saw them they didn't exactly look how the pictures did. They looked cheap and had more of a brown tint. So needles to say, we are still in search of the perfect chairs!

After we got home from Portland, I headed to the movies with Anna and Bella for Bella's first movie experience. It was so great seeing her at the movie, she loved every minute of it. She thought it was the coolest thing to be able to pick out her own candy and scoop it herself. Her eyes were glued to the screen, while her little hands dipped into the popcorn bag and she stole sips of soda.  She was on the edge of her seat the whole time and completely focused on the movie! Can't wait to see a next movie with her:)

Weekend Round-Up

This weekend was a blast, it was jam packed with family, friends, birthday parties, white water rafting and many laughs.

Friday
Tyler Ortega ended up coming to HR friday and headed up to my parents house with me to help them get ready for Papa's 80th birthday party. There was a lot to do in order to get ready for the party so we were glad we could help out.

Saturday
Mb, Joe and I headed off to Portland bright and early at 7:45 am Saturday morning. She had a meeting with a bride, and then MB and I were off to meet Ashley to help set of for Brayden's 1st birthday party while Joe went and met up with his mom & sister.

I am kicking my self in the butt for not taking pictures of Brayden's birthday party, but head on over here to Ashley's blog and you will get to see all the pictures from the days event! It was a great day, beautiful location and great company. It was circus theme and so very cute! She did a great job on his birthday, and she will have a tough time topping this on his next birthdays:)

After Brayden's party we hopped back in the car and headed back to HR to celebrate Papa's 80th Birthday with family & friends at my parents house! And knowing us, of course we were running late, and still had to pick up a keg, go to the liquor store and pick up the b-day cake before heading to the party:) But it all ended up working out just fine.

Papa's birthday turned out great, there was so many family members from Idaho and friends from all over. The weather was perfect, the decorations were great and the company was amazing. Papa had a great time mingling and talking to everyone.

My mom did a great job with the decorations and putting this all together! It turned out great and I can't wait for the next family get together.

Sunday
Sunday we went white water rafting!! It was a blast, and I think it has become a tradition for a group of us. This time our group consisted of: Me, Taylor, Tyler, MB, Joe, Scott, Kayla, Zach, Pattie, Mike, Janice, Craig, Cathie, Patricia and Butch. Unfortunately we didn't get many pictures....

Team Penning

Last night at the fair we went to support my Dad team penning! It was a blast watching him and he did a great job. The only thing that could have made it better would have been Naaman jumping on a horse!

And of course we had to go and watch the Mutton Busting! It is seriously the cutest thing I have ever seen. These little kids jump on a sheep and go for a little thrill ride. And of course Naaman can't wait till we have kids so they can Mutton Bust, he said our kids will be rocking the mutton bustin with no help..haha. And this company does kids parties...how stinkin' cool is that!

Wedding photographer is booked!!!

Phew...we finally book a photographer for our wedding! A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and we have officially now booked all of our main vendors! We decided to go with Jim Semlor and are so excited to have him capture our special day.

It was so hard figuring out who we wanted to go with, I swear it felt like I was researching 100s of photographers. Ones from Portland, Salem, Hood River, White Salmon and even a photographer from Boston! But in the end we choose to keep it local!

Now its time to research engagement photo ideas!!!

Summer is here

Bella and Lous have been introduced to the pool...and they love it, just as much as Anna and I do. The first time they were a little scared, but now they are all about it. Jumping off the edge, putting their heads under water, going down the slide in the 'cold pool'.

This last time we went Lou-Lou was introduced to the life jacket, she likes being able to do it by herself, instead of being held the entire time. She even went down the slide twice! Once with me and once with Anna...I think we were more scared then her
