This last weekend we surrounded ourselves with some of Charlie's best friends and family to support each other during this difficult time. August 10th marked 1 difficult year since Chuck left us, and it was so wonderful being around these amazing people to help make the day a bit easier. The weekend didn't start without getting some cuddles from Nolan, then it was off to place Charlie's plaque and rock outside and toss his ashes into the Deschutes. It was such a beautiful and heart-wrenching experience, but one I'm sure non of us will forget. To be around such amazing people during this difficult time was much needed. We cried, laughed, shared memories of Charlie and most importantly made new memories together.
We also promised to continue this Charlie's Weekend for years to come! On or around August 10th we will be getting together to celebrate Charlie's life and our friendship. This year we are going to Charlie's Place at the beach to start our First Annual Charlie's Weekend. We are so excited to start this tradition and can't wait to see all the places it takes us, memories we make, friendships we strengthen and have it become a tradition to all of our kids as well.
